Has anyone done, or seen - dyno comparisons between he 4 and 4,5 inch Freedom Exhaust slip ons for the TC? While one might think the larger muffler is better on such a big engine, I would want to make sure I didnt lose any low end torque from the bigger pipe.
When we stopped at the dealer in Daytona to look at the TC, they also had a Goldwing there somebody had traded in. Asked the wife to sit on it and give it a go - as soon as she started to get on it the bodywork creaked and cracked. Much more than the old 98 Goldwing I had which never made a...
Yep, Eurocycles of Daytona in Daytona Beach. I gather they also have stores in Orlando and Tampa as well. Aside from this SNAFU, to be fair the rest of my experience with this dealer have been outstanding. I would buy another bike from them, just not a First Edition unless I saw the SWAG box...
Local dealer has asked field rep to weigh in, which he is doing. Hopefully will be sorted out soon enough. If not, will shoot Mr. Radzyner a note. Thanks for that.
BMW NA Customer Service......at the number that was provided earlier in this thread, and also listed on BMW website. Delivering dealer is now changing his tune but not to my advantage - he is saying he only received 3 boxes at the beginning of the year. I reminded them BMW rep stated a box with...
Just got another email from Customer Service - the person he checked with said only for 2021 model years.
Why in the world is it so hard for BMW to have consistent messaging on this? Doesnt instill confidence in the company. If they cant get something as simple as a welcome kit straight, what...
UPDATE: My local dealer checked with BMW and yes, I am supposed to get that box. Furthermore, it was shipped to the delivering dealer the end of June (which is when I bought it). A win for the little guy!
Dealer I bought from (Daytona Beach) did treat me well. I bought it on the way thru town heading on a cruise; they agreed to keep the bike until we got back, initial plan was to ride it home. Then - I got COVID, and the last thing I wanted to do was ride a bike 800 miles home, especially given...
Agree completely. Nice to have, but would have meant more if I didnt have to push for it. Now t's just kinda the principle of it - some dealers give them away, others don't. I dislike inconsistency and am trying to get BMW to acknowledge and apply a uniform policy out there.
I also sent it off to BMW Customer Service rep that I had been emailing with. Sure would like BMW to make this right. But I'll enjoy the bike even if they dont.
Congrats! From almost a lifetime on Harleys I can tell you that you made the right choice. I find the R18 better in almost every way compared to the Road Glide Special I came off of, or the Street Glide Special before that.
Guess not every dealer "got the memo" Neither the dealer I bought the bike from or my local dealer seem to know about - both say it was only first year. I think local dealer even checked with local rep. Oh well.
Only "issue" I've noticed so far is the Sirius antenna sure does have problems with maintaining signal. Only lose signal for a second, but it can happen several times in the same song. No such issue with car/truck radios over same roads.
