Wonder if a back rest can be added to the bike with that seat and those soft bags. Btw, what inseam are you? I am 5'9" and 30" inseam so wondering how that custom seat feels and fits (would my knees be too high or not aligned right with that seat and pull back bars? I thought I recalled feeling the stock bars were a bit wide and maybe not angled back enough, with they are on the TC.

Still for sale. I edited the first post so I can update the ad. I had a couple out of state buyers that where interested but never materialized and I had since lost intrest in selling it but I'm going to relist it with a new price and pics. Disregard any previous post.
2021 BMW R18 First Edition.
I'm the original owner. Has factory heated grips and the reverse gear, hill start assist. Perfect condition, not a scratch on it, literally kept inside a climate controlled room with the other bikes year round.
Custom redone seats by Mother Roads Customs (Way way way more comfortable than stock) and also has 2" extension pull back risers for more comfort. Easily removable if not desired. There is a atlas throttle lock on it as seen in the pictures but it will be removed before sale to transfer to another bike. Located near St. Louis Missouri.

Such a pretty bike, they just delivered mine today. At that price someone should grab it if they cannot get one new still. The bar risers look sweet.

I love the red but my old mind's heart to true to the old school black with white pen strips
Then again, I did my old /2 in a deep blood red with cream center insert on the side of the tanks and cream wide stripes on the center of the fenders. Dave up in GA will restore it for me. Not sure if the tank can be saved though
Plus I have to find a lost valve and spring else he will have to buy the parts. I have an old r69 engine (spare) he will let me give to me in partial trade for the work he will do on the bike. He feels it is best to keep the 'numbered' (guessing it has one) engine block with the bike instead of using the r69 engine (which might not fit/work with an earls fork front engine.
So there you have it, a long ass answer to a short question lol

You might want to try consignment at a bmw dealer. Another forum member did that after not getting a buyer for his bike and he got good $ from the dealer when it sold. Had not thought to suggest that to the forum member so good he thought to give it a try. Just a thought…

A guy I know, stopped at a BMW dealer, inquiring about trading his R18 Pure FE ( same bike you have). They said.. it would be in the 10k range.

My Rose colored glasses are making me love my R18FE though then again I have a 2019 goldwing for touring. If it was my only ride I could see Jumping ship from the R18FE to a Bagger or TC. Just changed my rear shock from what appeared to be shipping mode to 6 turns (220lbs presently). Will now see if I purchased the right tools to install the MadStad screen. Hard to believe one can turn that nut like 27 times but then again it is a slow process I guess.

Definitely do this, I'm having to pay MX$375k (US$18k+) for a 1 year old demo with 1600km cheapest in Mex..no cruise either...
