They (Hornig) will give you the part number to get the correct emblem from a BMW dealer or eBayGood stuff. Where did you get the BMW emblem? At Hornig too?
Same here. I bought the chrome c-bow mounts and the Buffalo bags. Their bottom sides flow well with the R18 exhausts. I will only be installing a bit later, though. Excellent quality, as you say, and very sturdy.I purchased and installed the Hepco & Becker Legacy Courier Large Bag Set and mounted them using the Hepco & Becker C-Bow Holder. Install has straightforward and easy, fit and finish is excellent quality of the bags is excellent as well. I am pleased with my selection, of course the way they look is a matter of personal preference but I like the way they look on the R18.View attachment 145View attachment 146View attachment 147View attachment 148View attachment 149View attachment 150
Would love to see what the chrome c bows look like without the bags mounted and with the bags mounted. Pictures pretty please. It’s nice the bags lock To the bikeSame here. Mucker, you contest any passing reference of the R18 to H-D, yet, at the same time, you quietly seem to aim fashioning your R18 into a Harley clone. Driving lights, placed adjacent to the headlights, hark back to yore as a true-blue, 24-carat, s'true's-f4ck American bike thing - NOT a European one. Harley & Indian - anything else was copied from them.I'm researching the availability for nice looking "passing lamps". Lectric Lighting appears to have very good looking lamps and some sources sell them in chrome or black. They even have them with "halo rings". And I've emailed them to see if it might be possible to get a pair with black bodies & chrome bezels.
It's just a start, because then they'll have to be installed on either the factory passing lamp mount (IF it can be purchased without the windshield) OR a custom mount.

I specifically chose our 19"-front-wheel naked R18 for its explicit nakedness. I would not have bought the Classic or forthcoming Transcontinental. I prefer my Chief Vintage to the former and my Gl1800 to the latter - any day of the week and, for enough reasons to last a bottle of good whiskey long, jotting down. Each to their own, I appreciate.

Here is my 2014 Breakout. It's a keeper, and I have just put a large deposit down on a new Electra Glide Revival;I've still got an HD (2017 FLSS). Absolutely love it for what it is. I love the retro-look of my FLSS. As much as I'd like to give my R18 that bobber look, I have to keep it 2 up riding ready for me and the wife.... But I would try to get my R18 closer to the early BMWs.

I agree with ample lighting, but it needs to be implemented fittingly, e.g. I will be installing a 2014 FatBob's double headlight with HogWorkz LEDs on my Breakout soon - it blends in correctly.I understand what you're saying Estoma. I never equated driving lamps each side of the headlight as an HD thing. I just think that the additional night time visibility would be good and I think that the added width at the headlamp area would compliment the width of the engine. I like most of the chrome that the FE came with, but IMHO black passing lamps with chrome bezels would look awesome next to the OEM headlamp.
My preference is for the R18 to look like a vintage motorcycle, circa 1950s & earlier. So lots of black, with just enough chrome to highlight certain goodies fits the bill. We're all individuals here. Your mileage may vary.
Awesome. There is a place for all makes and models. I will own 18 (eighteen) soon and would even have preferred more, but I have run out of space. Mine all sleep in garages, on battery tenders and stands (tires off the floor) when I am out-of-town. If I could successfully negotiate parking two in the house, that could well become twenty - but my wife has not fallen for that sleight of 'mouth'. Yet (-:You two my enjoy this picture View attachment 1562
I will wait for some first adopters as regards these leg-rests, aka plumbed-in chrome washboards, clamps-and-all. Not only is it not even remotely as well (read seamlessly) and elegantly integrated as on its R1200C forebear, it forces you to commit to the OEM engine guard too. And should you remove them later, the engine guard would potentially bear marks from said clamping.View attachment 891
Nice close up picture of the Rider Foot Rest that attaches to the OEM engine guards
I cannot do that right now - probably only the first week in June. Here are some shots from the Hepco & Becker website;Would love to see what the chrome c bows look like without the bags mounted and with the bags mounted. Pictures pretty please. It’s nice the bags lock To the bike
This probably wasn’t what you were looking to see but if you go here:Resurrecting an old thread here.
Does anyone have a link to the accessories MSRPs?
did you ever get these? The R18 is canbus and these lights are not as such I was wondering what control module you used.I'm researching the availability for nice looking "passing lamps".
