I had done some research on here about this company because from day one I felt something was off. No responses to emails, questions not getting answered, etc. I was told by members on here that Hans (the owner) was a bit odd and slow but his work was top notch.
Before ordering I tried to communicate that I wanted my fender painted without the pinstripes or lights. I had bought the lights previously so I didn't have to battle the EURO - US issues. That never happened. Maybe the Google translator wasn't very good. OK, so I can get it painted here. Probably better anyways considering the shipping.
Day one I started to worry because they only take wire transfers. If you have not done this let me tell you it is a PIA. After sending the money and notifying LMC that the money was sent I received no reply for 2 weeks confirming receipt. That was nerve racking not knowing where all that money went.
I had ordered the hardline fender for the stock tire, the frame plugs, and CNC mounting "stop ends." After 4 months of not hearing much I started to email questions. I received an email saying they needed more money because they forgot to charge me for the "stop ends." I sent a copy of the invoice they sent me showing it was ordered and got no response for a few weeks. Needless to say I sent the money writing it up to being lost in translation and maybe it was for lights. Who knows. A week later I received an email asking why I sent the money. I sent a copy of the email that was sent to me and never heard about it again.
I saw a few pics on this site of the hardline fender received by our members and was surprised to see this is not the fender shown on the site. When I asked LMC if this is the one I ordered Hans stated he sent the what I ordered. No real clarification there.
So this week I received my order. The fender is not even close to paint ready. So It is raw with pits in the welds. The metal is ground rough and unsanded. There are still burrs hanging off of it on some spots, and the lines are not straight. VERY disappointed. Also my order did not include the lights, which was fine because the EURO lights aren't great with the US models, and missing my frame plugs. So all and all I have paid $1400 for a fender that is not what I ordered. The lights are not what is shown on the LMC site, so now I have to buy new lights as well which is another $160. The fender has to be worked before it can even be sealed and primed. Unpainted does not mean unfinished.
This transaction was a major waste of time and money. LMC Cycles' machining must be better than the metal work to have such a reputation.
What makes me so disappointed is I live in Phoenix AZ. There are bike builder legends here including Paul Yaffe (who built an R18 for Sturgis) who probably could have built this fender for a comparable price and got exactly what I wanted at show quality standards.
Just a heads up guys. BEWARE!
Here is a pic of how the fender was received.

UPDATE! I did get a response about the missing items. "They will be delivered."
