Did it already, DO IT...huge difference in running characteristics.
I've not been able to get a good read in what this may mean, as a world wide forum one can miss interpret meaning because the context can be very different for all off us given the use of the bike and what we each consider an improvement. I'm also not sure about the improvement in characteristics that happens over the first 5,000 miles anyhow, versus those that get it tuned early and experience a fair bit of the normal improvement as they put some miles on it.
So can you indicate whiich of the follwing is true for you?
1. I love the vibration and rock and roll of the bike just as it is (or a bit more would be worth considering)
2. I want the bike to vibrate less and run smoother.
3. I always ride in rock mode and give it a fist full every ride
4. I do a lot of hignway cruising at constant >70mph
I have formed a view (reading peoples experiences) that has held me back a bit on this, as I don't do much continous high speed cruising on freeways, use the throttle freely, always ride in rock (even in the wet and on dirt) and love all the vibes as is and my bike has improved naturally with age/miles.
I also get the feeling that there is no noticable increase in power or torque that could not be explained by more agressive throttle mapping... so part throttle feels more lively for those that are not agressive with the throttle normally.
My perfect world for a tune would be the same vibes and shaking and 20% more torque with no loss of pull from 1600rpm in 4th (ie low down torque).
