All sorted, I received the map just now via email. I’m yet to upload it on the motorcycle, will try and do it tomorrow.
The team’s working through a new process on the site and were prompt once they picked up my message on the live chat function on their website. The communication thereafter has been been great.
Thanks for your help folks.

In a random turn of events, I think my new/old Pure already has the Bren Tune? It is just as smooth, responsive, and effortless as my Classic was after the tune —the Pure came pre-owned without any records. I may have simply been lucky. Future services will not be at the dealer, so no worries on overwriting. 😎

With the growing number of R18 owners and enthusiasts like myself, I am trying to gauge if others would be interested in getting the BT Moto stage 1 tune? We could potentially ask for another round of group discount.

We're open to it with a decent group :)

Being just the other side of the Black Friday sale might work against the success of this.... as those keen probally would have just scratched the itch. I was thinking of doing it but the exchange rate (Australia) kills it for me.

Was there a discount for the black Friday sale? Seems like I just missed it. I got my bike after BF, which was somewhat of an impulse decision but still proud of it :D

Yes there was (15%), I was going to get one for my r ninet.... but our dollar only buys 65c of yours.... so I am going to have a local tuner have a go.... about $900 for that.

I would absolutely buy if we could get enough buyers for the $595 mark

Did it already, DO IT...huge difference in running characteristics.
I've not been able to get a good read in what this may mean, as a world wide forum one can miss interpret meaning because the context can be very different for all off us given the use of the bike and what we each consider an improvement. I'm also not sure about the improvement in characteristics that happens over the first 5,000 miles anyhow, versus those that get it tuned early and experience a fair bit of the normal improvement as they put some miles on it.

So can you indicate whiich of the follwing is true for you?

1. I love the vibration and rock and roll of the bike just as it is (or a bit more would be worth considering)
2. I want the bike to vibrate less and run smoother.
3. I always ride in rock mode and give it a fist full every ride
4. I do a lot of hignway cruising at constant >70mph

I have formed a view (reading peoples experiences) that has held me back a bit on this, as I don't do much continous high speed cruising on freeways, use the throttle freely, always ride in rock (even in the wet and on dirt) and love all the vibes as is and my bike has improved naturally with age/miles.

I also get the feeling that there is no noticable increase in power or torque that could not be explained by more agressive throttle mapping... so part throttle feels more lively for those that are not agressive with the throttle normally.

My perfect world for a tune would be the same vibes and shaking and 20% more torque with no loss of pull from 1600rpm in 4th (ie low down torque).

I bought the BT with the group last time. I have mixed thoughts about it. It is a difference, but not a bunch. I say that because, I have a BT on my K1600 and that is much more noticeable. I wish that Bren would look, and see if there is the ability to get more out of their tune. For the $ spent, I would probably pass on getting it again on my new R18. It's a great product but isn't a night and day difference, then stock imo.

Thanks all! Appreciate the info and perspectives! Definitely something to consider and frankly speaking I get the same impression that it is NOT a night and day difference hence I'd get it if I can get it for that $595 mark.

We can create a list on this thread response and keep editing it with new names as more people show interest until we hit 20+ on the list (since some may change their minds etc.). I can volunteer for this - reply or DM if interested and I will keep editing the list below.

Completely agree with pbosik. At the price I paid, during the last group buy I am very happy. That said, the improvements are very subtle.

Seems like the R18 has so much unrealized potential. You'd think an 1800cc could go 120 - 130. mph. If the improvements aren't all that much, I'll wait... seems like a luxury item.

I wrote Brentune and sent them this link. Maybe more can be done -- or maybe they did all they could(?)
IDK.

What do you mean by "... You'd think an 1800cc could go 120 - 130. mph' ... yours doesn't? my goes there easy ... with throttle to spare???

I haven't tried it YET... but....

Ahhhh put the hammer down ... she will surprise you :) ... brace for tickets ...
I have a 2021 FE ... with a lot of bits from the 'Classic' like the windshield and such .. she has the aerodynamics of an upright sheet of plywood but she still runs like a rocket ... and makes a lot of HD owners weep ;)

HD owners are insanely jealous. I kid you not --I go to a weekly meeting where a lot of HD motos park... without fail, and I'm talking every week, the R18 is the one everyone gathers around. Then I see a couple people break off and talk to the HD owers because they feel bad and give them consilatory compliments on their crappy little HD's. Even from a distance I see them still oogling the R18.

It's premium materials, precision build, epic style and aesthetics wipes the pavement with HD.
The R18 is what every HD wishes it could have been.:ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO:
