Dang! Y’all got in on a nice price. I got mine at Black Friday 2023 for a bit of a deal, but $200 off is great!
 
I just ordered my r9t one.... $895 minus 200 plus delivery and insurance became $1,295aud.... argh....

Now.... how to make it work on a Mac.

You either need to be able to boot windows on a Mac or you need a PC. It needs windows one way or the other - I’m not sure there’s any way around it.

Yeah, I have an old mac hooked up to my coffee roaster so will have a play with that. I think I only disposed of an old windows notebook a few months ago when clearing out some clutter.... so all seems to be going as it does!

I hope it's just a lull, that people aren't logging on. That's a real kick in BT motos balls. I'll give it a week and if it turns out that way -- I'm not going to feel right about getting the discount. My own sense of integrity will dictate I pay the balance because we didn't hold our end o the bargain. At least I walk away comfortable in my own skin.

What an interesting statement to make. The discount code was publicly posted by Chris @ BT, in both the R18 and NineT forum. I doubt everybody that purchased one will share it but I would also be surprised if there wouldn't be at least 15 sales coming through that use the discount. The only person that even remotely said anything about the price was @BigJimSlim and he wasn't even on the group buy list... but by all means send some extra cash to BT if it makes you feel better!! hahah ;-)

hahahabackatcha :) blame it on my hyper active sense of right. If BT was kind enough to extend a sizeable discount --ends up taking a loss. It looks bad for the entire forum. Just an opinion fine if you don't see it that way.

Got mine Black Friday 2023. Y’all buying now are getting a better deal than I did, for sure.

By all means I think its fair to check in with @BT Moto after Feb 14 and see how it worked out. Needless to say if its not worth it for them, it does not benefit anybody in the long run. I feel optimistic that those kind of group buys end up benefiting both parties - obviously the buyers but also the sellers by having loads of extra eyes and (hopefully) a good dozen of buyers in a short time! Time will tell :) Peace!
 
Fwiw, I would not be worrying about BT. They seem to be a competent businesss that have done this mulitple times on many forums and would have a good handle on their business model.

If wanting to improve one's karma, I am far from competent (wife's words) and will readily accept donations towards "Noel's windows laptop fund".
