Hill start is activated by a firm squeeze on the brake lever, & is quite easy to
do by accident when holding the bike steady as a passenger gets on or off
your bike. You can disable it completely in the settings menu if you wish.
I activate mine unintentionally sometimes when backing the bike into my
garden.

Thanks yes and I just deactivated it.

I was not aware it was on as I moost definitely wánt it OFF. Most have had a sernior moment setting it accidentally on.
