2021 R18 TC
Yes, okay I cocked up. Hi again to the old and bold and hi for the first time to those that joined in the last 12 months.

I sold my TC last year, put a Chinese bike on order, bottled it and got a Triumph Tiger 900 - fantastic bike, but I missed a cruiser. Tried for months to buy a certain R18B but the chap just would not return my calls, so I purchased a low miles (2.5k miles) '23 Street Bob with £7k worth of extras on it inc Stage 1, but...I'm not feeling it. It weighs 25% less than an R18B, rides well, handles well, looks good, sounds great ...but it's not an R18B/TC. Would you believe that literally on the ride home from collecting the H-D the fella with the R18B rang me back  Anyhow, he can't sell that so I thought I would sell the H-D and buy it...but the cruiser market isn't moving here and he is giving up bikes, so does anyone in the UK want to swap their B or TC (no classics, rocktane, or nakeds please). Just to make it more difficult I prefer black

I've tried dealers etc but without losing £2k on a bike that I got cheaply anyway, I just can't move it.

P.S. I also discovered that on this side of the water we pay around 40% more for our R18's brand new than mainland USA

How can one tell what bike they prefer unless they try a variety? One bartender's Old Fashioned will be preferable over another's, correct? They all taste good but that one just hits the right spot!
Welcome back... sorta 😉🙂, and best of luck with your quest!

Mate, I'm almost 4 decades in of legal road riding and the R18TC has been my favorite bike yet...I've ridden/owned a LOT of bikes including cop bikes. The R18 just works for me. Fingers crossed I'll stay around, but if not the Street Bob is a giggle.

Roger that. I've got a few decades under my belt also and the R18TC and the R1150GS are both impressive bikes.

Have you considered selling the HD on consignment? I’ve done that two or three times with a local private trader and it worked well, got a better price than I would have privately with no hassle and he got a £500 sellers fee. If you are realistic with the price you ask rather than what you really would like it should go. You could bid the guy with the TC hard and claw back some of what you lose on yours 🤷‍♂️

It's a good thought bud and I am very close to the UK's largest dealer but they are rammed. I've already got the price for the B...23 reg under warranty, 3.5k miles, £10300. Worried he'll sell to the dealer for the £9.5k that he's been offered, but the Mrs is adamant... The HD has to go first.

Yea tricky situation, got the T shirt on this one too. The bike market is brutal lately and I got screwed last summer. I traded a Transalp and XSR900 to get my Roctane. I stupidly and naively thought it would be easy, two popular mainstream bikes in mint condition but no, got bugger all for both. If I had room I’d have somehow kept them but like many I didn’t so either had to jump or step away from the ledge. I jumped, got my Roctane, I love it, many don’t but life is short so F it.

I bought a 2022 B new. Rode it for a little over a year then foolishly traded it in. I got a 2022 Road King Special. Nice bike but no technology, heated grips or seat, etc. the R18B sat in the dealership for almost a year. No test rides. Every time I entered my dealership I’d see the bike. Occasionally I’d sit on it, but I felt bad and realized the mistake I made.

I got rid of the HD and bought my R18 back. Like an old friend. Did a 800 mile trip on it and have not looked back. I have owned maybe 50 BMW’ starting in 2004. This R18B is my favorite. To me the R18 is a jewel and should be cherished.

Ride on!!!
