1. Former Texas State book depository from where President Kennedy was shot (far right sixth floor open window)
2 Stevie Ray Vaughn mural. One of Dallas’ favorite sons.
3 Pecan Lodge barbecue in Deep Ellis. IMO the best barbecue in town. Tell me why I’m wrong.
4 Some weird robot guy in Deep Ellum
5 Keep it Wild Texas. Damn right!
Just put 1400 miles in a month riding locally...Lots of forums on here about modifications and what not, but I haven’t found too much from folks about their wild adventures on the R18…and pics. Let’s have some good stories and pics about your rides, the longer and scarier the better. The R18 is a fantastic bike that is meant to be out in the wild…not parked in the garage.
Let’s have it!
I looked up a few of those locations, what a beautiful region! In my experience that's a good run in any country especially given the scenery and communities I'd be sure to take time to enjoy. By the way, even though I have ridden plenty of long mile days and trips over the years, most of my area day rides are in that same 200-300 mile range too as I like to "stop and smell the roses".Running in check on Thursday and one of the motorcycle photography companies doing a shoot a few counties over saw me get about 230 miles in yesterday. I know this is small mileage for some of our US and Oz members but it takes some time around the south of England! Some stunning places down here in the South Downs National Park, Midhurst, Petworth, Easebourne etc. I was late leaving but the photographer did get some shots so I’m waiting for them to be uploaded.
It is a lovely part of the UK, I would have loved to stop and get more pics but everyone and their hamster was out even though I stayed away from the coastal route which I usually travel. I should maybe consider investing in a GoPro or similar.I looked up a few of those locations, what a beautiful region! Bookends!! Well done, did you guys do a fly-n-ride to get them home or just a nice run to get your break in service out of the way?On the home stretch of 1000 mile trip in the deserts of West Texas. I have never felt more in the middle of no where in my life. It was some beautiful country side.
A great region in Texas. You'll want to be mindful of the deer when the sun is low sunrise and sunset. On the home stretch of 1000 mile trip in the deserts of West Texas. I have never felt more in the middle of no where in my life. It was some beautiful country side.
We live in Haskell Texas, which is 50 miles north of Abilene Texas, so we just rode them all the way. I am restoring a 1993 Ford F-350 and already have an enclosed trailer that we plan on traveling anywhere we want a ride the cycles from where ever we park.Bookends!!
