If any member has any details on these molded hard fiberglass saddlebags, I'd be very interested in purchasing a set. I'm not sure of the material, ABS, fiberglass or aluminum, but they exactly what I've been looking for.

Very stylish and really match the art-deco vibe.
It reminds these classy R50 side cases :

No way to get that from BMW.

Now it would need to dismantle the whole bike to have the chassis painted.

Let the dismantling begin, not that much work or time. Just enough desire.
Looking closer where they begin and end, they don't look bigger than mine.

It sure is! And... think about it... If you can't have a longer rear fender (WITH a hinge in it, for wheel service), would you want that bodacious rear end spattered with all sorts of gunk?
