New to the R18 family but not to BMW.

'25 R18b, 23 triumph speed twin, 22 honda monkey
Afternoon folks, Well, after a few years of “maybe I’ll do it”, “maybe I won’t”, I finally went for it and took delivery of a new ‘25 bagger. The delivery required a 200 mile up on my R1250rt and the ride back home on my new Bagger. Welp, to say the two bikes are two totally different beasts is an understatement. I love the riding position on the bike and how it rides, I was tired of the sport touring ride, but DANG I was beat up by the time I got home. The buffeting from the wind coming up and around the fairing was brutal the faster I went. I was on a time crunch so I had the cruise set to 85-90 most of the way there (on my RT) and back (on the B). First thing I did this morning was start looking for wind deflectors that I was positive would have already been made by someone, and sure enough, what I experienced on my first road trip with this bike is obviously a problem and has been addressed. I’ll be adding stuff to hopefully make it as non-abusive as my RT and even my k1600B were. Other than that, I’m completely in awe of the bike. I love the look and torque from the giant boxer. Looking forward to chatting with you all.

I absolutely love that color on the Model B...

A couple of us have added some of the wind management attributes that come stock on the Transcontinental (TC); Engine Protection Bar, Lower Leg Wind Protection Fairing, Fairing Winglets, Auxiliary Lights + Mounting Bar and Directionals..

Below image is my Model B with the above mentioned:

I am assuming that’s the same colour that they do the 2025 Roctane and if it was available for my bike (2025 ‘Blacked Out’ edition, it would be my first choice.

Welcome aboard Jorge and congratulations on your gorgeous new dragon fire red B, what a stunner. I picked a set of cheap winglets from EBay, plug and play and 4 screws that fit on the screw wholes the B has already attaching the back of the fairing. They totally eliminated the wind buffeting on mine. The screen I have is the standard one and I am 1.76cm tall. Enjoy your bike 👊🏼👊🏼👊🏼

I'd highly recommend purchasing a GS-911 HEX Tool for your R18 B; especially, if thinking of doing some tasteful modifications.

There's one for sale on the forum; I've dealt with Dave and he's very trustworthy:

Thank you for kind words. I actually ordered a set of the ebay ones. Figured I'd give them a try before going the oem route.
