valve clearances.

2022 R1800B . What is the valve clearance for the exhaust and intake valves? I know how to do it but want to double check on the clearance. I’m in the US so what is it in inches? From what I can determine it’s .10 thousand's

Yeah I saw several different measurements on the forum. Go figure. What I would like to find are what’s in the BMW technical manual for my R18.

Make sure that all measurements are performed, at least 24 hrs. from when the engine was last running due to the temperature coefficient.

I might be incorrect... But isn't 0.25 mm halfway between the recommend tolerance of 0.2 - 0.3 mm...?

Yes . .256 millimeters is .10 thousandths of an inch .

.15 is mighty tight ... BMW states 0.2 -0.3 on either.
