WIth the R18 I was initially thinking that a single jug chrome outer wasn't any more expensive to replace then a set of protection bars ($700ish).... but who knows..... on my scrambler I'm ok with a few scratches on the engine bars..... but not on the R18.... it's to pretty.Oh man, so sorry to hear that but glad that there was no real damage to the bike. See the bars is sort of like an insurance policy and even if it pays out just once, the savings in the longer term are worthy
Not sure what you are asking ... these are even/flush with the outside edge of the reservoir, just like the OEM covers ... the original ones are slightly tapered (height wise) and on one side a little bit thinner, these are the same height on both ends ... other than that they are identical in size ... I have never seen the RSD ones other than in pictures ... so I really can't make a statement there.Correct me if I’m wrong but it seems like these fit flush like side wise… the RSD ones don’t? Like they look thicker than the reservoir in pictures.
