Hahaha ... And thanks, it appears that they are using the fasteners for the pushrod cover base ... Much better! At least that puts the torque on the case ... No big deal there... Thanks your majesty 😁

Got the bike back from the shop yesterday evening.

I can not emphasize this enough....the front end of my bike is completely different because of this tire change to Shinko SR999s. I understand my front tire was at the end of its life, but I didn't expect this much of a difference. The "feel" of road and its interactions with the tire just communicated better. Like I had a better understanding of what the tire was doing when I made any movements. Made the old Battlecruise feel like a numb mess with little grip. The compound feels soft to finger touch so here's hoping they last more than 4000mi.
Hi, would appreciate an update on these.

Hi Kevin, can you updated up on the Shinko SR999s.
How have they evolved with use? Treadwear, handling?

Not exactly today, but I just finished this customisation of R18 Bagger 1st edition to almost full dechrom - jet black panels + matte black exhaust. Total price was less than 5k€ with VAT including full demontage and montage. If someone is interested, hit me up - i can get it to you for the same price or even cheaper. Also possible to do just parts in specific colours, not only black.

Price of origo parts to do the same is somewhere around 10-12k€ + work (calculated around 5k€ by BMW Dealer)
Beautifully done!

I think emgarciax wants the same update on the shinko like myself.

Just crested the 10,000mi mark a month ago....makes for about 6000mi the current set.

The replacement rear tire has been purchased. Due to cold weather impacting riding and laziness, the tire remains un-installed and is being used as a toy by my kids.

The front tire has only about 20% tread remaining and I haven't ordered a replacement yet...again, laziness.

The rear tire, while completely worn past it's wear bars, is not showing threads. There is definitely no tire tread left in the middle. Definitely bald, kinda squared. It just seems to have a lot more rubber on it than the OE Bridgestone tires. They definitely lasted longer considering my aggressive riding. That was made even more surprising considering the shinkos are so soft.

Even if I get 7000mi out of the tires, I'm getting a pair of tires for roughly what it costs for a big name rear tire alone.

Edit: Forgot about ride and feel...

It's tons better than the Bridgestones. They seem quite bit softer as well. High speed cornering or tire-spinning, clutch-dump starts, the tires just grab. They've taken hard hits , rough roads, two-up/400lbs of people meat, and sat at 110mph for 20 straight miles, and I've had no major wear or imbalance issues. Like I mentioned earlier, the rear is just a bit bald up the center....but using a cheap set of sportster footpegs gave me a little bit more lean and access to a bit more of that chicken strip.

Have not had a chance to ride on it yet...been cold here in NJ. Waiting for a day above mid 40s with no ice/salt on the road.
Which Exit...?? (NJ joke..). Tenafly here..

What is everyone's thought on these lights. I found them online and have grown to like them.

I think there is a DRL and then turn signal as well. So would have to run another line up there for DRL.
Thoughts?

Well, here's how you destroy the look of the R18 100 Years Edition.
Having ridden RT's then a Goldwing, I was used to a bit of storage.
Not real happy with the look, but it gives me the storage required
for a week long trip.
I also mounted an older Zumo 595 on the Wunderlich Device Holder/GPS Mount.
How were you able to mount these?? Was a custom made bracket?
