I've had my R18 come to a stop on it's sump.... no damaged. If I'd had the pin still in from the lift I could see it breaking the sump corner away (possibly.... given my luck that day).... so I add and remove mine each time.

The sump "stop" evolved from a wasp sting to the neck followed by a non optimal decision shortly there after.

How about the oil cooler, did it get damaged..?

We're moving house (downsizing for 2nd "15yr block" of retirement) and I need to get my R18 down the side of the new house that is max of 1.2m wide and 15m or so long. So I've removed the chrome blobs on the end of the handle bars (no noticable increase in bar vibes) and added shorter brake and clutch levers today.... the twin stripe levers I thought looked the best.... seem to be ok. Fwiw... if bought from local importer they were almost $900.... but $500 deliverd to Australia from a shop in the UK.

The Levers look nice on there

I hit a 2x4 that was kicked up by the truck in front of me. Fender is crushed. Hit my left knee and left thumb after caving my fender in on itself. Ordered a larger fender about 20 mins after the accident.

No real damage other than the fender. Still, it's a bit of a kick in the teeth.

Oof !! I am glad you are good ... other than the 'gravel rash' and the f...d up fender!

So sorry this happened to you, glad it wasn’t worse it could have been very bad. Need any help with anything let us know

I finally swapped out the stock levers for the Roland Sands Design Machined Levers on my Model B; these were picked up under the Reverse Recall Campaign, I really like how they looked on the FE Bobber Project bike..... I figured I'd pretty-up my Bagger as well...

I wasn't sure about the look of the Black Levers against the FE Chrome Package.. but looks good on the Project Bike..

So what do you think about it in person?

For me it is a mixed bag. I did not mind the existing ones and would not likely have changed them. My bike is more classic then bobber/modern.

When having to change them (needing shorter ones) I could not find "chrome shorter ones" and if going to a polished alloy I decided that I rather go black.... and these had a silver hilite that somewhat ties in. As far as how they feel/work.... I am a 2 or 3 finger user that rides quite hard/fast in the windies and like the levers more in use then the originals.
