What did you do to your R18 today?

Just did this upgrade as well and it definitely makes it much easier to shift. Bought their rear heel extender too, but found it limits my foot position on the floorboards and seemed kind of crowded so i took it back off. I can see why they came with the shorter version. Not having a bike with a heel shifter before, I forget its even there. Guess it takes a conscious effort to use and some getting used to.
You all Classic owners are killing us poor guys that purchased just the base model lol. Heal/tow shifters, floor boards…

I forgot another important upgrade this week! I've not heard it mentioned here, but have heard it mentioned in several review videos about missing upshifts.

I adjusted the toe and heel shifters and that helped. I think the front shifter is too short still. I installed the Wunderlich longer front shifter and now the problem is gone... not to mention I'm learning to like the heel shifter...

Thanks for posting this. I've tried adjusting the front toe shifter but couldn't find a position I liked, so now I know the solution. I'm good with the stock heel shifter.

Installed Dr. Jekill & Mr. Hyde Exhaust & Removed Fork & Case Reflectors...

View attachment 7188
Looks great - I like the setup with the TC driving lights, wind deflectors and the J&H exhaust looks top quality - hows the sound, any performance gains ?
Was the install straightforward - am looking at them myself once I work out how to get in Australia without going through an installer...👌

How do you find the back rest (or your passenger) and what was install like?
I have the same backrest for my Classic FE. It was about a half hour install. Fairly simple. BUT - not tall enough to make my wife happy. She felt it was still sitting too low, in the small of her back, and not supportive enough for her. Which is one of the main reasons I bought the TC.

Added a kuryakyn 2720 sound system, custom fabricated grill on the oil cooler, Wunderlich sissy bar and rear rack. And rider leg rests. Dear Lord, I love this bike.

A few more of the screen. I’m finding I have to sit a bit taller to get the view I want. But the wind protection is really impressive

Can you post pictures of the drop damage? Showing Engine Guard, Floorboard, Luggage Case & Exhaust; I'm sure most want to know if the engine guard does its job during a drop such as yours? Also, you mentioned practicing a U-Turn you scrapped the engine guard but recovered; did you mean the drag points on the bottom of the floorboard?

Sorry for the lateness on this one, but this the damage from that scrape and drop I had that day. Crash guards definitely did their job very well.

Lordy, loving that rear rack and bar. What that is like $800 no doubt. How does that sound system sound :) and was it hard to mount and what do you use for a power source...and is it am/fm/xm per chance? I will go research that mount.

So the sissy bar and rack are just awesome.... Bitch to put on.... Definitely the best looking things out there. Classic Wunderlich to make it so attractive to the bike....I highly recommend.
About that stereo, I am also gonna buy one for my R12C.... When the r18 went to production, they had an accessory catalog which showed a handle bar mount stereo in chrome with a bmw logo.... That device was never made available as far as i know. I found the kuryakyn because it was seemingly the same exact unit. Great sound, loud and clear. The mounts they provided worked wonderfully to make a unique look once I got creative with how to attach them to the bars. Highly recommend the stereo. Here are some pics so you can see for yourself. Holds solid, looks great. Performs solid. Always streaming my playlists from Amazon. It's just Bluetooth... So I stream from my phone. Cool thing is it has a USB port to charge my phone so.... MUSIC IS ENDLESS....Again, HIGHLY RECOMMEND.

Make sure it's the kuryakyn 2720 MTX! Bought open box from Walmart for 260. And the rear rack is only 300ish from pier City customs in the UK including shipping! .... Best price I found. I think they have it mispriced, honestly. Sissy bar was about $300 too...

I put that sound bar on my R18 Classic, and HATED it. Took it off after a week. Sounds so tinny and shrill to my ears. No bass presence whatsoever. In fact, if someone wants mine, I'll sell it for half of what I paid for it.

Hum…what price. It is so weird, guess options each has their own. The vendor website has some good reviews so it seems then again with reviews on websites one never knows what is true and false :)
Was surprised it did not have FM radio as part of the unit. Guess everyone, some, do XM or Sirus radio from phones now days. Heck I have a CD player on my 05 r1200rt hard to believe now days.

Yeah... Saw your post.... Mine is great. I am into my music. Know what to expect with and without windshield. I get bass...I get highs. I get mid-range. Was very surprised at your post. It's a bike ... Sometimes 60-80mph... Still like what I hear.
