I have been playing with my windscreen to try and reduce the helmet shake I am experiencing. I had three vertebra fused years ago from a hang gliding accident I was in many years ago, so I don't tolerate helmet shaking well.
I was over at my son's business a few days ago. He owns two Bell 206 Long Ranger helicopters. I saw the snap vents on the side windows and it made me remember the snap vents that used to come on the old Vetter Windjammer fairings years ago. I ordered two of these snap vents from an aviation supply company and installed them in my windscreen. I found that adding these vents has cut down on the turbulence greatly. With these vents open it allows the air to travel about two-inches higher and over my head when before the turbulence caught me at the top of my forehead. These are n to too hard to install - requires cutting two 3 1/4" holes in the windscreen. Here is a picture
