BikeBug: How one Aussie bike shop is competing against the big brands - CyclingTips
It’s no secret that many local bike shops in Australia are struggling to make ends meet. Last month one of Sydney’s largest bike shops closed their doors owing half a million dollars to creditors. On the opposite end of the spectrum, brothers Frank and Rocky Fortuna have built their BikeBug...cyclingtips.com
So I guess they're new and "upcoming". There is a You Tube video showing a slash-cut set of plain pipes. UGH!
Thanks, but I'm gonna stick with the fishtails. No that s not the one . BUG bike Shop dont have Web site. Yes you find them on FB .talk to them with FB messenger . They reply very quick . I can give you their e mail adress in case you re interested.
Speaking of the fishtails...I'd like to say "THANK YOU" to Black Dog. Although he is no fan of the fishtails (believe me on that!!) many of us are - in all regards EXCEPT the sound. I messaged him about our exhausts and he provided me with excellent information on how he developed his own mufflers - I was quite impressed with the detail, and the fact he took the time. That information will be very helpful to me when I "tear into" my fishtails to modify them as soon as riding season is over. My only and best hopes are that someone else successfully does this mod and shares the "how to" before my mufflers become the guinea pigs! Thanks, but I'm gonna stick with the fishtails.
I guess I could at least try that...but still OEM mufflers do too good of a job for many of us old salts...Unhook the flaps.

Latest news is week of July 19th, earliest arrival.Remus Chrome with the narrowed slightly angular tips ordered! Had to sell my youngest son to pay for them.... Pics and vid to come when they arrive and are installed!
Do you live in the USA? If so, how long did the shipping take?Just received my exhaust from Hattech. Fast shipping from Germany (including the nice local beverage gift).
The sound is deeper/louder without being too obnoxious. I believe there is a baffle that can be removed, but I haven’t tested that out yet.

Easy install (although I did have to grind down about 5 mm on the left adapter to get the mounting bracket to align correctly).

Link to short video clip below. And for the ATGATT police, I (almost) always wear full gear. Only did this 100 yard rip in front of my house to record this clip.
Yes, I’m in PA. Took maybe a week from order to delivery.Do you live in the USA? If so, how long did the shipping take?
Many thanks!Yes, I’m in PA. Took maybe a week from order to delivery.
Do you know how difficult installation is? I'm in PA too and was going to install myself. Doesn't seem difficult but those have been my famous last words before. Also, any mapping need or is it just slip on and go? Thanks for your help. VicYes, I’m in PA. Took maybe a week from order to delivery.
I appreciate your quick and helpful reply, Ninjabones. I'm going to place my order and we'll see how it goes. It’s pretty simple install if everything lines up correctly. There’s some variability in the bikes and likely in the manufacture of the mufflers. I did have to grind about 5 mm off the inner end of the left side coupler tube to get the mounting tab to line up to the frame mount location.
Basically take off the chrome cover plate over the cat (two hex bolts), then loosen the clamp over the coupler, then put something under the muffler to support it (e.g, a jack, or have someone hold it) and then loosen the two bolts holding the exhaust bracket to the frame (it’s a large torx bit, forget what size).
As I mentioned, I had to grind 5 mm off the left side coupler tube end to get the bracket to align properly (not a big deal).
I did not remap (your results may vary proceed at your own risk).
Anyone know the torque spec on the exhaust hanger bolts?
