I've done that almost same exact ride through the National Parks on a HD Street Glide; I can only imagine what a great ride it would be on my R18 Model B; I feel like I ride my R18 B a little faster in the Twisties with my R18 ...I think you do not understand the reasoning behind my "unhappiness"...
This bike sucks! Big time... not the price of it I was able to get it for, nor the purchasing conditions. Of course I expect to lose $$$ when I sell a bike.
Like I mentioned before I buy and sell one to two brand new bikes a year since the last 20-22 years... BMWFS reps recognize my voice on the phone by now.
BUT and it is a biiiig BUT, "Those bikes were fun to ride..."
if this bike was a decent bike and fun to ride too then I won't mind keeping it.
Unfortunately this is not a decent bike nor fun to ride for me and every time I look at it, I feel disgusted as it reminds me it is a waste of $$$$$ sitting in the garage and collecting dust almost since 47 weeks of the past year.
I take it out once a month to ride 4-5 miles in town and sits again until next month or two.
June 2024 will be anniversary of the purchasing this shaky behemoth!
Tomorrow I'll be going with few other friends to a 5 day tour of Grand Canyon, Sedona and Zion, Bryce, Mexican Hat, Valley of the Gods etc...
One of our riding buddies passed away at age 62. He was planning this ride before his passing and this ride was in his honor and memory. So I am going just because of that reason. If it wasn't for honoring his memory I wouldn't go even if they paid me. This is how much I "love" this bike!
After every bike I sold in the last 20+ years, when buyers ride away with my bike after the transaction completed I've felt a little sadness.
When I see this one leaving my driveway, I am planning to organize a neighborhood BBQ party!
You are all invited!
Anyways... Try and remain positive, stay safe while riding and perhaps the TC will grow on you...
Maybe switch it up with another bike...?
