Currently just fitting my front engine cover guard, new black radiator guard and front axle slider.
Riding tomorrow morning, taking pics as well.
Now fitted… what the hell were BMW thinking by fitting that cheap looking plastic radiator cover!?!?
Been looking at options to replace the radiator guard myself. What did you end up using?

I’m probably the only one. It’s Mercedes’ Desert Sand.
Hey @Judge. That Desert Sand paint looks absolutely incredible on your R18! It really makes the bike stand out and gives it such a cool, unique vintage vibe. It’s like a tribute to the old BMW R-75 from the 40s. You’ve definitely nailed that modern classic look. Awesome choice!

Thank you - that was part of the very loose idea. I like the color quite a bit in its own, but it does remind me of the historic models as well.

Finally got around to installing my RSD front cover strip. Hopefully it will stand the inevitable road rash a bit better. The silver satin finish is lovely but very soft. Anyhow, I ordered it from Europe Moto about 6 weeks ago. FYI it took ages to arrive, communication from the company was poor and I had to chase them for updates. On a positive it arrived in perfect condition at a great price £127 if memory serves and I believe (at time of writing this) I haven’t been stung for any import taxes (which I did consider before ordering into the UK). No installation instructions provided but I took my time and was methodical to avoid any mishaps. I’ve given these two names btw, Eric & Ernie. If you are in the UK you just know 😉

Morecambe and Wise… from Oz, but old enough to remember. Nice bikes.

Yep 👍. Ernie was smaller so that’s the red, Eric is the black (it’s the dark rimmed glasses 😉). Comedy legends and for good reason.
