What did you do to your R18 today?

I usually wear no watch but the R18 goes well with my original Полёт Cтрела (Poljot Strela) Venus 3017.
Übercool this as these time pieces were at the time exclusively distributed to fighter pilots, astronauts and scientists. Meaning mine was actually worn by such.
Have it on a German 'fliegeruhrenband´.

Pretty cool timepiece which certainly goes with the R 18

Just received my RSD floorboard kit and it looks spectacular! I’m currently waiting on the Classic mounts and hardware so I can install everything on my First Edition. If anyone is interested, this kit is on closeout at BMW Motorcycles of Grand Rapids for $284!

It’s just beautifully made stuff. I would RSD the hell out of my bike if I had the money… which I don’t 😩

Not only that - pretty much everything for pre-2024 model R18s appears to be heavily discounted. I don’t really feel the need to add any more baubles to mine right now but I did pick up the stereo/speaker bar so if I ever want to have that option it’s available to me. It seems these first gen R18 parts are reaching the end of their shelf life.

I’m still on the fence about the sidestand (kickstand). I’ve seen that the part numbers are different (FE is ...1317 and Classic is ...9212), but looking at the diagrams and photos, they look almost identical. Has anyone done this swap keeping the original First Edition sidestand?
I don't want to spend extra money on a new stand if it's not strictly necessary. My main concerns are: Does the FE stand hit or rub against the wider RSD floorboards when folded?. Is it hard to reach the "tang" with your boot once the floorboards are installed?
I’d really appreciate some real-world feedback before I buy a new one.

I just pulled the trigger and purchased the Two-Tone machined floorboards
/controls for my Model B First Edition; the price was way too good to pass up, the controls will match some of the other RSD accessories I've collected over the past few years... RSD Reservoir Covers and RSD Mirrors

But that it.....no more upgrades

However the front breast plate is also very nicely priced as a close out item...

Phew… I thought that you were serious about no more upgrades. I would have called in the Paramedics and SWAT to help you with that idea.
After fitting a zillion cheap, reasonably priced and pricey accessories, I’m still looking for the next one (or two).
