What's the jacket of choice for your R18?

Turns out that as far as jacket size goes, I’m halfway between L and M… water shrink/hair dryer method tomorrow for my new jacket.

leather responds most favourably by taking a warm (not hot) shower in it. Dry yourself and the jacket, put it back on and watch a movie. It will form to your shape like many weeks of wearing would.

My other Hugo Boss jacket arrived. Medium long motorcycle jacket with removable vest.
Very, véry luxury quality. The weight belies the souple softness of the leather. Although a motorcycle jacket, it oozes the luxury look matching the original R18.
Good choice this.
Makes me look at that canvass/leather 'ISDT'model one again🫣

Didn’t bother and just sent it back and ordered an M, as well as some Kevlar cargo pants.
Also ordered this after scrapping the goggles…

Half e century ago goggles were the only eye protection available but I never got on with them.
Still have two strapped onto puddin' basis 'helmets' for classic potter arounds but with sunglasses

Damn Samn Langlitz was the best for many years, but sadly they are making their jackets out of garbage leather ! You want to see, I have a late jacket in Goat Skin and an older same cut in Goat Skin and it is a world better. You want to see, I have both come have a look, even the cut has been cheapend, they have lost my business and I knew Ross Langlitz, he must be turning in his grave....

This is a bad thread for me.... can't look away......

Yesterdays "look" resulted in me looking at Belstaff stuff again...... but being old I need something broken in (can't wait to have the cool, but not trying to hard look).... so went off looking.... now $400 poorer.... I hope the original owner had good hygene.....

I've decided that this was the prevous owner....

I like your thinking.
Waiting for the parcel service to find the mountains. If the jacket arrives will give it a dust bath fírst

Looking at the previous owner, hope you are an.... euh,.. slim bloke 🫣
You could offer to go and show her how it looks on you 🤩

Right enough procrastinating; time to get on the pedals and climb some mountain slopes before the sun fries my brain.

Meanwhile going hardcore carnivorous and MTB. Beejeezus it is pushing personal limits but I ám shifting shape.

Anyway back to jackets. The HugoBoss 'Six Days' fianlly arrived in the mountains. The courier could not find me so left it at the post office and because my address officially does not exist, the mail woman gave me a heads up.

The jacket is 👌 size but I will need to shift some more shape for it to be perfect tailored fít.
'Six Days' being veru much like 'Safari' I have decided I will wear it for the Morocco desert adventue with the Vespa.

Nóóóó provisions for any (tongue in cheek) Peltzman pads just like the waxed cotton originals. Will try give it a dusting tomorrow.

Mine arrived today.... good condition..... not a bike jacket for sliding..... but haven't done that for well over 40 years so still ok on the bike when I want to be a pretty old man.... could of been a size up....
