I have a light weight jacket that blocks wind like leather but breaths just a tad. Very nice.

Looks comfortable and just right for rolling down to the local watering hole and enjoy the morning coffee on the terrace while enjoying the view of the R18 parked in front.
Laced ankle boots, loose fit jeans, yellow gloves and a puddin´basin. Sunglasses of course because of the morning sun.
Yeah feel good free style.
That ´free´ btw has over the years become a too big thing. ´Too´ because It is just perception serving no useful purpose.
What I mean is that the state the nanny state supported by the middle of the road populus has lead to restrictions on what one does/wears for our own safety being politically correct. The yellow dayglo hem over full armour to potter about with an 80 year old sidecar is an example.
The movement to mandatory use of homologated gloves and ditto full face helmets makes me rebel. ´Freedom´ becomes a joke.
I have survived >50 years of motorcycling all over Europe including racing road circuits. If the government is worried about my safety, then they should address car drivers!
It is the risk formula again. If well over two thirds of bike riders´ fatalities are directly and solely caused by car drivers, Í should wear protective gear??
Having driven several sidecar rigs I know that this increases rider safety more than whatévvah. It is different and the road users régister it.
Better to prevent than to cure no?!
Chance of an occurrance x the seriousness of the consequences.
Now add the Peltzman effect as that applies to motorbike riders and car drivers. The latter feel safe in their SUVs and do not register the motorcyclist. The latter feels safe because in full armour with hi-viz vest. An accident waiting to happen; literally.
Bottom line being yoú ride/drive safely! Wear the gear you feel good in and watch out for the feel safe trap.
Right, now see what the sellers of cashmere jackets respond...
