If you plan to cut open the fishtails, gut them, then put them back together to keep the original look. You may want to check out the attached cut-up fish tip.
Another note: The inner wall of the fish tip is solidly welded to the outer wall. This can come apart by grinding about 1/8” along the edges. Keep in mind that the inner is in two pieces. The oval tube w holes is not welded in to slide back and forth w heat. The SS wool is tacked on and break w a good yank. I can’t speak for the front end. There is an earlier video by someone else that can look at.

I havent yet but plan to. Just waiting on a good time to remove the headers as I think it would make the job easier

i talked to zard via email when i was gonna get the ti zard exhaust for r18B…. They told me that they never made full production of the exhaust for the r18B. I would imagine that it would sound really well for this big boxer engine!

Anyone seen the video for the SC project exhaust for the r18b??? It sounds amazing!
Do you have a link for this video and where it is for sale?

Hello, no one in the state does this modification for what I know of. I sent mine to Matt the toy shop guy in the UK 🇬🇧 great guy to deal with. Excellent work quality no blemishes he’s fast and straight forward takes about a week. It costed me about $1400.00 US dollars for everything. Best decision I have made sounds incredibly good. Good luck
Have you a link to this service ... I've googled everything and failed !!

Thanks

Matt quoted me $695 Gbp (roughly $845 US) to do the modifications plus I would have to cover the shipping costs myself. How did you get to $1,400?

Seems like it… bugbike charges too much, their build quality is sub standard imo.
Oh is this an understatement. Ordered a set that the left hand side pipe doesn’t even come close to fitting in multiple places and they refuse to make things right. PayPal had to make things right. Garbage seller, selling garbage. Stay far away from bug bike co!!

“Hand-made” doesn’t mean Quality. Even their stock photo references on Facebook show subpar crafting. I cannot believe they charge a small fortune for this level of crapsmanship. Thank you for taking the bullet for the team.

If you’re running the stock exhaust, how does it sound cat less? Is it louder without going deaf?

Mine is catless, OEM V&H mufflers, baffles removed, and it sounds amazing.

I just put the Dr. J&H exhaust system on my new R28 Roctane. Which yes is pricey but man its nice. I went with the matte black finish but now I am looking at it and kinda driving me nuts that I have blacked chrome header and matte black exhaust system. Does anyone know a Matte black header or have an idea for me to change it out.

After modifying my stock headers my Rogue Motorcycle’s headers finally showed up and I’ve decided to just stick with the modded stock pipes. If anyone’s interested in the rogue pipes stateside I’d be willing to sell and ship them. They have been heat wrapped with DEI titanium wrap and are designed to work with the stock or stock fitting mufflers or just 1.25” exhaust tips of your picking. Shoot me a PM if you’re interested. Also have a set of Freedom 4.5” mufflers I could include additionally.

Spray paint the blacked out chrome headers with matt black. Did it on my chrome headers with the matt black. Just be careful to NOT knock the respray or you’ll be touching it up .
